Alaska Current & Planned Activities

  • Sponsor regular teleconference seminars, meetings, and discussions to highlight the current science related to environmental health issues and disease outcomes.
  • Prepare fact sheets, papers, and consensus statements to inform health care professionals, parents, educators, community leaders, patients, and others about ways to
  • prevent harmful exposures and protect public health.
  • Organize environmental health lectures and film series.
  • Support communities in addressing environmental injustices.
  • Advocate for public environmental health policies that are protective and based on the precautionary principle.
  • Provide training for researchers in methods of community-based participatory research.
