Breast Cancer Prevention – “From Awareness to Action: Rethink the Pink” – FREE public lecture
Breast cancer experts coming to Alaska to empower young people to prevent cancer and protect their health
Karuna Jaggar, Breast Cancer Action, Executive Director, and Dr. Yamini Ranchod, Breast Cancer Action, Board Member, will be featured speakers for Alaska Community Action on Toxics’ (ACAT) annual lecture series on breast cancer prevention to bring a discussion focused on prevention at a young age.
Once a disease almost exclusively found in older people, cancer is now a leading cause of illness in children and young adults. Prevention is the key to bringing this scourge under control.
ACAT is presenting a free public lecture at Loussac Library, Wilda Marston Theater on Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 pm. The presentation will be preceded by a reception at 6:00. The event is free.
