No Free Passes for Polluters!
Alaska Community Action on Toxics and 150 other groups call on EPA and Congress to protect communities and workers and end the “free pass to pollute” during the coronavirus pandemic
Alaska Community Action on Toxics and 150 other groups are calling on EPA and Congress to protect communities and workers and reverse EPA’s ill-considered decision to suspend enforcement of environmental laws during the coronavirus pandemic.
Pamela Miller, Executive Director of ACAT said: “EPA’s decision to suspend enforcement is unconscionable. The agency is abrogating its responsibility to protect our communities and public health. The suspension of enforcement puts us at even greater risk in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. We demand that EPA rescind this policy and reinstate proper oversight, inspections, and enforcement necessary to protect our health.”
