Serenity Garden

Serenity Garden (13th and Karluk in Fairview) - In 2022, Dawit (David) and Samrawit (Sam) reached out with a vision of turning their unfenced yard into a garden open to their neighbors and their neighborhood in Fairview.

To get the ball rolling, Jason Bibee and Nick planted a row of raspberries, rhubarb, and chives along the West fence and setup six small sheet mulch beds with wood chipped paths.

Summer 2024, Anchor Gardens and Yarducopia organized a team of volunteers to build out this garden with over a dozen lasagna beds - and the name Serenity Garden was proposed.

2025 will be the first summer of growing here and we're excited to connect new and experienced gardeners to this lovely space. Karen Gonne-Harrell, a Fairview resident, is coordinating the space and we're happy to help put you in touch with her.
